How useliquid.org works
Launch a Pump.fun coin paired to HYPE. Send HYPE from HyperEVM, Relay bridges it to Solana, and your coin goes live trading against HYPE. This guide covers the full flow, every launch status, what it costs and what happens if something goes wrong.
Overview#
Launching on Pump.fun normally means holding SOL in a Solana wallet, and every coin trades against SOL. useliquid.org changes both: you pay in HYPE, and your coin's bonding curve is quoted in HYPE. A launch is two things:
Name, ticker, image, description and an optional X link. Pinned to IPFS before anything touches a chain.
One transfer on HyperEVM covering your dev buy plus a small fixed overhead for rent and fees.
Everything else is automatic: Relay bridges the HYPE to Solana, the launch transaction is built and signed, and your dev-buy tokens are delivered to the Solana address you choose.
Quickstart#
- Open the launch form. Go to Launch a coin.
- Describe the coin. Upload a square image (PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF, up to 5 MB), then add a name, ticker and description.
- Choose a dev buy. Enter it in SOL, as on Pump.fun. It's converted to HYPE at the live price and spent on your coin in the launch transaction. 0 is fine.
- Enter two addresses. The Solana address that will own the coin, and a HyperEVM refund address.
- Send the deposit. Copy the one-time HyperEVM address (or scan the QR) and send the exact HYPE amount shown. The status page updates live until your coin is trading.
How it works#
A launch moves through six parties. Each arrow is a real on-chain or off-chain step.
The Relay bridge
Relay is a cross-chain bridge with its own solvers. When you start a launch, useliquid.org asks Relay for a quote and a one-time deposit address on HyperEVM. Anything sent there is filled on Solana: Relay delivers HYPE to the useliquid.org launcher, usually within seconds.
Paired to HYPE
On Solana, HYPE is the Wormhole-bridged token 98sMhvDwXj1RQi5c5Mndm3vPe9cBqPrbLaufMXFNMh5g. Pump.fun accepts it as a quote asset, so the launcher calls create_v2 with HYPE as the curve's quote and takes your dev buy with buy_v3 in the same transaction. The coin trades against HYPE from its first block, and your address is written on-chain as the creator.
Launch lifecycle#
Every launch is a small state machine. The status page polls it and advances it one step at a time; each transition is claimed atomically, so a launch can never be executed twice.
Status reference
| Status | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
awaiting_deposit | The HyperEVM deposit address is open. | Send the exact HYPE amount shown. |
swapping | Deposit seen; Relay is bridging it. | Nothing. Usually under a minute. |
swapped | HYPE arrived on Solana. | Nothing. Minting starts immediately. |
launching | create_v2 + dev buy is being confirmed. | Nothing. |
live | Coin is trading on Pump.fun, paired to HYPE. | Share your coin page. |
refunded | Relay could not fill the deposit. | Your HYPE is back at your refund address. |
expired | No deposit before the deadline. | Start a new launch; don't reuse the address. |
failed | Minting failed after retries. | Contact support with your launch id. |
Getting HYPE#
| Where your HYPE is | What to do |
|---|---|
| HyperEVM | Ready to launch. Send it to your deposit address. |
| Hyperliquid core | Transfer it to HyperEVM in the Hyperliquid app, then launch. |
| SOL on Solana | Use Swap and pick HYPE on HyperEVM. |
Swap SOL to HYPE
The Swap page turns SOL into HYPE through Relay. Pick HYPE on Solana to trade HYPE-paired coins on Pump.fun, or HYPE on HyperEVM to fund a launch. Your Solana wallet signs one transaction; useliquid.org never holds the funds.
Costs & fees#
A launch with a 0.5 SOL dev buy breaks down like this:
- Dev buy: what you enter in SOL, converted to HYPE at the live price and spent on your own coin.
- Overhead (0.03 SOL, charged in HYPE): account rent for the mint and bonding curve, the token transfer to your wallet, and network fees. The launcher pays these in SOL on your behalf.
- Bridge cost: Relay's fee (under 1%) is already included in the amount you are asked to send. There is nothing extra to pay.
- Pump.fun fees: standard protocol and creator fees on every trade, including your dev buy.
Ownership & creator fees#
The Solana address you enter as coin owner is written on-chain as the coin's creator at mint time. That has two consequences:
- Pump.fun creator fees from every trade accrue to that address, and only it can claim them.
- The dev-buy tokens are transferred to that address right after the coin goes live.
Metadata & coin page#
Every coin gets a permanent page at useliquid.org/coin/<mint>. Its mint address is reserved the moment you open the launch form, so the page URL can be written into the coin's on-chain metadata as its website. Explorers, DexScreener and Pump.fun all link back to it.

}Metadata is pinned to IPFS and is immutable once the coin is minted.
Bonding curve#
New coins trade on a Pump.fun bonding curve quoted in HYPE: price rises as supply is bought, and buyers pay in HYPE. When the curve is fully bought, the coin graduates and its liquidity migrates to a Pump AMM pool against HYPE automatically. Coin pages show curve progress live.
Safety & refunds#
- Refunds go to you, on HyperEVM. If Relay can't fill a deposit, it returns the HYPE to the refund address you entered.
- Exactly-once launches. Each launch is claimed atomically before minting, and a stuck transaction is only retried after its blockhash has expired, so a coin is never minted twice.
- Mint keys are encrypted at rest and never leave the server. A reserved mint can be used once.
- No custody after launch. Tokens and any surplus HYPE are sent straight to the coin owner.
FAQ#
Do I need SOL?
No. Your HYPE deposit covers the dev buy, rent and fees. You only need a Solana address to own the coin and receive the dev buy.
Why is my coin paired to HYPE instead of SOL?
That's the point of useliquid.org: every coin's bonding curve is quoted in HYPE, so buyers pay in HYPE and liquidity stays in HYPE after graduation.
How long does a launch take?
Usually under a minute after your HyperEVM deposit confirms: Relay bridges in seconds, then the coin is minted in one transaction.
My HYPE is on Hyperliquid, not HyperEVM.
Transfer it to HyperEVM in the Hyperliquid app first. Deposits from Hyperliquid core won't be picked up.
What if I send the wrong amount?
Too little and the launch spends less on the dev buy. Too much and the surplus HYPE is returned to your coin owner on Solana after launch.
Can I edit my coin after launch?
No. Name, ticker, image and metadata are fixed at mint time.
Who gets the creator fees?
The coin owner address you entered. It's set on-chain as the creator.
How do I buy a HYPE-paired coin?
You need HYPE on Solana. Swap SOL to HYPE on the Swap page, then trade the coin on Pump.fun.
